Mac OSX Server – IT Level 2 week 1

This week I have been looking at different components inside Mac OSX Server 10.11, these include the open directory, wiki manager, profile manager and more:

(I have actually setup an open directory and my macbook is currently connected to it so I never run out of space when I downgrade my hard drive (and for other various uses).

(I noticed how it works very similar to active directory but on a different system)

During my time at work I have also worked out the infrastructure

Thin Clients Running off blade servers, let me give you a little intro to this,

so the thin clients ‘remote connect’ to the blade servers, the blade servers then provide the required resources and the resources are handed out to the end users to run the thin clients.

I also… ordered an ssd and some ram because I need to upgrade my laptop
